Inspired by the quality offerings to mountain bikers, Anton Apps, a keen fly fisherman and mountain biker who owns a cottage in Rhodes, became involved with the race organisation.
For the 2009 event, his financial recruitment firm, antonapps, pledged personal involvement of their team of professionals as well as financial sponsorship to take the race to the next level – an extreme multiday high-altitude team stage race – and so the Rhodes Challenge escalated into the Rhodes Extreme. After the team’s great experience, they were back again for 2010, and now looking foward to 2011.
